
SLIME OMAKASE LEVEL DESIGN
Slime Omakase is an FPS action platformer game project where a player is a student who try to break the Adults' thoughts and cultivation. Set in a high school, defeat every enemy, and run to the principal's room.
The game is set in a European high school with some modern elements. The game separates into 2 tones, black/white represents boredom, and colorful represents excitement.
In the actual gameplay, player will see a level in black/white tone and can see the real color of that room by look through a bullet impact. Like painting on a paper.

For the work process, I start by gather ideas of the room, starting block out, and assign a toon material. In the latest version, I have designed 3 room types, a connector room, a buff room, and a combat room.

Connector Room


Connector room is a short room for a player to breath before/after get in a combat section. With the room generate system, players will see a different connector most of the time they open a door.




Buff Room


A large locker room for upgrading. Normally, the entire room will be covered with black/white colors. Only items will have the color to make them stand out.

Combat Room


Combat room is a room for players to defeat enemies. They can be both multiple waves or a single wave. I have designed each room to have a different gameplay, artroom is jumping, classroom is rotating, pool and library are dashing.
